Photo Assignment: “Turn Up the Heat”

jazz performers

Michelle laughs during her performance “Turn Up the Heat”.

This past Saturday I photographed the Turn Up The Heat in the Music Hall at Andrew Carnegie Free Library in Carnegie. I love to photograph performances in that hall, and love to photograph performers in general, so I checked all my settings for low-light photography, added more duct tape to my battered old tripod and set everything up.

Michele Bensen is a jazz vocalist and performs with “The Bensen Burners”, a quartet of musicians on guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and saxophone and flute. I always like to get a few mood shots along with the rest. See a few more photos from “Turn Up the Heat”, performance by jazz vocalist Michele Bensen and the Bensen Burners here.
