Quarterly E-newsletter From My Studio

"The Whole Family Gets Together"

My quarterly e-newsletter encompasses not only what happens in my art studio and Portraits of Animals store, but also in my work as a graphic designer and web designer, a photographer and writer and other disciplines that utilize design, writing and promotion. It’s handy for people to know all the different things I do, and while I blog about it on a regular basis, there is really no better way to get the word out than to package everything together.

I’ve also been trying out the four main e-newsletter companies in the past year to see which one is the best deal for me. I loved Constant Contact, but they ended up costing me $25.00 per month because I use so many images, but I only publish quarterly and that got kind of expensive. I’ve also tried iContact, MailChimp and now Vertical Response. None is as easy to use as Constant Contact, but I like the pay-as-you-go element of the others, and the templates in Vertical Response were easier to use than iContact and MailChimp.

I’ll be publishing again in August because we have a little festival here in September, plus that’s when I have all my holiday things together, so it comes out a month early.

Feel free to give feedback on how this works for you!

So please enjoy reading about not only the new animal-inspired merchandise, but also the environmental projects I’ve worked with, the performers I’ve had the pleasure of photographing and the newsletters I’ve designed.

And it’s good for me to stop once in a while and take a look at where I’ve been!
